November 5: Fall Fly-In & BBQ, Green Sea Airport (S79), Green Sea, South Carolina, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. EAA Chapter 1167 is sponsoring this annual event with Gene Baker again preparing his famous whole hog BBQ as well as chicken gumbo and all of the fixin’s. Mississippi Gulf Coast Veteran’s Day Fly-In, Trent Lott International Airport (KPQL), Pascagoula, Mississippi, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. A 5-day event for Warbirds, emphasis on flying. Air Show on Friday, Veteran’s Day. Saturday leaders participate in flyovers of just about the largest Veteran’s Day Parade in the nation. Casino support, classes and practice the entire event. Best way possible to end the year’s flying season. November 12: Pioneer Flight Museum Fall Air Fair, Old Kingsbury Aerodrome (85TE), Kingsbury, Texas, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. The Air Fair is a fly-in event dedicated to aircraft from the beginning of powered flight to the beginning of WWII. December 9-11: The Second Annual LSA Fly-In to the Bahamas. Come fly with us to the beautiful island of Bimini only a 57nm hop off the coast of Florida. Our host will be the Bimini Sands Hotel, an excellent trip for the Bahama newbie. General aviation aircraft are always welcome. This will commemorate the authorization of the Bahamian government to allow light sport aviation to fly the islands.
